Mustang Mafia for 2020 Trunk-or-Treat
All ghosts, goblins and other spooks are invited to a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat on October 17 at the Winn Dixie parking lot in Laplace. The address is 1830 West Airline Highway and the time is 5 to 8 p.m.
The Mustang Mafia car club is putting on the free event. Sponsors are the Russell Law Firm of Baton Rouge, Winn Dixie and the Terron Armstead Foundation, a youth development organization.
Trunk-or-Treat is a Halloween event at which vehicles are decked out for candy seekers. Children go from vehicle to vehicle to receive Halloween treats.
“Halloween should be a fun time for adults, and especially for children. But the pandemic makes it difficult to have fun in the usual ways this year,” Russell Law Firm owner and lead attorney, Danny Russell said. “This event will provide a safe way to enjoy the season. I would like to thank the Mustang Mafia car club for staging this event.”
There will be prizes for best costumes and best decorated trunks. The Russell Law Firm will award baskets filled with Saints and LSU merchandise worth more than $500. Winn Dixie will award gift cards.
